My Love

I am a poet of night and death
The words I use are breath from a living corpse
So are the worlds possessed by my soul
An empty well, unfathomable eternal void

But heaven’s hallow opens its gate
In rarest times it rains grace
Light smothers the broken heart’s yate
The cold shuns by the ember of your face

You are, like the sunlight of morning dew
The frozen warmth of bittersweet
That embraces my severed soul
That balms my pains, so discreet

The scent of a rose, in the stench of cadavers
So distinguished, sole and one
Unmistaken and absolute, it stands
You are to me, in the sea of gone

The purest of your innocence
Installs your walks and presence
So dainty, delicate a bliss
Your happiness’s my only wish

A life’s breath into me
The moonlit night with thee
The undead world exhales
Moment you dried my heart’s wails

A lifetime of rhythm played
The dance were danced and swayed
One final prom for this artless soul to stay
Let it be you, if you may…
