Mainstreams of Fate: Streaks of luck; Dims of misfortune

A Ride with the Waves
Life indeed relatively resembles waves. Opportunities come and go, practically fluctuating every time. Chances pass by your unawareness. However, sometimes they’re a slap in your face. Relatively reasonable explanation to this might be that, truly, we are not in total control of our lives. That our existence is a juxtaposition of varying perspectives and so many possibilities, you can never consummately account.

A Song Played Throughout
Granted, that we are practically coexisting with unpredictability, uncertainty, and other synonymous words. It’d appropriate the fact of inevitable misfortunes. They’re usually manifested through the casual scenarios of our “unlucky” lives. (Varying from unjustified academic failures, liar S.O.’s and eventual break-ups, drunk driving, etc…) They pose questions to us. And at times, even to the end, we don’t find the answers we’ve sought at the first place. But as much as, you know, most of the times we don’t’ find these answers, due to the perennial revolution of life, we are compelled to forgo and move on to the next circumstances which will eventually, again, pose us questions for us to either find answers or not.

Immortal Crimes
Here’s a point to ponder. If conceded that the vastness of life is just simply beyond encapsulating by our power and influence, why is it, mostly of us, cry over spilled milks? Ruing the things one could’ve done but haven’t done which drew the unlikely outcomes? Words that should’ve been said, but left unsaid until the opportunity faded? Fought over something so desperately but wasn’t victorious at the end? As much as regrets do always come at last, this can never be the entire epitome of our comprehension about life’s unpredictability.
It’s pointless to continuously mingle to what have happened already. Moreover, it’s even nuisance just to settle a considerable amount of time just contemplating over something permanently written in history. Consider the time spent for nothing. You could’ve done something and be someone about it.

Where Choice Comes In
I believe this is where control plays a role. It is practically up to us, whether to choose moving forward or stay dormant and futile. That life, maybe uncertain at times, but there are the things you are ultimately in control of. That after what have unlikely happened to you before, you have the rest of what is left of your life to live. It’s the offset of the other quintessence of your being. That Choice is the opposite of Fate. A choice to grab an opportunity that pass by or not, a choice to either say “yes” or “no”, a choice to refuge in the shadows of your unforgiving past, or revere the gleaming glory of your future.
It should be a point of consideration, that if a moment comes you can exercise that power, use it. Make it.

Move on, look forward. Live the rest of what’s left in your life by choice…Your Choice…
