Into the Cut

Rebirth, bliss

That day the world stood still for us

Amidst the vertigo around the traveling bus

That day your woe resided with death

You come to acknowledge the Love I hath to give

It was a beginning to many things

A thousand fold of many beautiful things

Daintily enclosed in the envelope of animate promises, spoken and naught.

Freedom I thought

The unforgivens I’ve fought

My world, my all

But Lo,

What I thought I’ve killed, relived

And haunts you back,

Then draws you in

Into the promise of mirth in its beginnings, beauty as well, as much

The grief of its once end, that dread in you, i have seen

There you lie in disconcertion, me in disdain

Bliss, pain

Imbued, these colors that rival into a tapestry

Of beauty and madness

In You
